BONNE CAUSE: La Marche de l'espoir de Savannah, Georgie a Chicago dans l'Illinois. ERIC BEBA

Etudiant africain originaire du Burkina Faso poursuivant ses etudes aux Etats Unis,Je puis affirmer qu'apres avoir traverser beaucoup de choses, ma vie entiere a subie une metamorphose.

Cela m'oblige a dedicacer cette vie pour un changement profond en Afrique. J'ai decide d'entreprendre cette longue marche jusqu'a Oprah Winfrey dans la ville de Chicago afin de lui demander de continuer ses bonnes oeuvres au profit de mon continent. Je vais lui demander de contribuer au developpement des secteurs agricoles et educatifs de mon pays, le Burkina Faso aussi bien que les autres pays freres d' Afrique. Mon second objectif est d'inciter mes freres africains a investir a travers des Organisations non Gouvernementales au profit des memes secteurs, au lieu de laisser le sort de leur continent aux gouvernants qui passent leur temps a mendier sans fin. Le continent a besoin de peuples devoues et convaincus et non des aides financieres car son sous sol est deja immensement riche. Nous ne les utilisons pas dans le bon sens. Cette marche qui a debute le 7 juin s' etalera durant deux mois et demi avec le soutien de tous( Americains, africains, hommes de medias) je soumettrai des requettes aux pouvoirs locaux americains durant tout mon parcours. Que Oprah m'accepte ou non a son show, je suis convaincu que ma mission sera accomplie.

J'attends vos remarques et suggestions pour l'aboutissement de cette marche de l'espoir.

A journey from Savannah to Chicago

As a young African man pursuing his studies on the United States of America, I must admit that I 've been through lot of positive things that have changed my entire life. My firm resolution is my intense dedication to change things in Africa. For that reason I have decided to convince people such as Oprah Winfrey to help develop the mother land. In order to ask for her assistance I have decided to walk from Savannah to Chicago, and hopefully make it to the Oprah Show and let her know about my plan. My first goal is to ask her help to improve education and agriculture in Africa. The second goal is to tell my fellow Africans that it takes just a little contribution from every individual to build a country. In case I do not get accepted to the Oprah Show, I wish my African brothers and sisters will be convinced that it is time for us to get together and start working. We will therefore create an organizations or foundations that will work hard for the rebuilding of Africa instead of begging money from richer countries all the time. We need people full of good will and courage but not only money. We already have enough natural resources; we are just not using them in a good way.

“The Journey For Hope” is set for June 7^th and I'll try to inform local authorities about this event during my trip.

I need the support of all of you and the medias. The more The Journey For Hope is covered, the more African will be aware of it. Whether Oprah accepts my plan or not, I will still need Africans to be united and start working right away.

Je suis très fière de vous, de votre courage et votre persévérance à travers cette marche de l’espoir. C'est avec des initiatives de ce genre que nous pourrions faire avancer l'Afrique. Si comme vous chacun apportait sa petite pierre à la construction de l’édifice nationale nous arriverons un jour (dans un futur proche) à construire notre belle Afrique.
